Stellar Pizza trucks use robotic arms inside the delivery vehicle to make deliveries of pizza. Former SpaceX employees founded the company in 2019. In a previous funding round, the company raised $9 million from other investors. Jay-Marcy Z’s Venture Partners led the $16.5 million funding round. MVP has also made investments in major consumer brands such as TheraBody and Savage x Fenty.
Stellar Pizza is a new take on pizza delivery because the pizza is made automatically. Because no retail location is required, the only overhead is the cost of the truck and the driver’s salary. The project’s goal is to provide delicious, high-quality pizza at a reasonable price. Its first robotic pizza-making trucks will debut this fall at the University of California. A single pizza takes less than five minutes to make, and a single truck can produce approximately 420 pizzas before needing to replenish ingredients.
Jay-Z has previously expressed interest in food brands and new products. He and Beyonce collaborated with nutritionist Marco Borges to launch 22 Days Nutrition, a vegan meal delivery service. In 2019, he also invested in Partake, a vegan cookie and baking company. In addition, Jay-Z assisted plant-based startup Impossible Foods in raising $300 million in a Series E funding round. He also has a stake in Oatly, a vegan company known for its oat milk.
He also helped raise $50 million for SIMULATE’s plant-based meat in 2021. The goal of SIMULATE is to perfect plant-based chicken. Its NUGGS are plant-based chicken nuggets that are sold direct to consumers and in national chains across the United States. Beyonce and Jay-Z have both worked hard to promote plant-based eating as a healthier diet option.
